Team Mystic till the end!
So here’s the thing, I started playing Pokémon Go ages ago just as a reason to get out of the house. What an adventure that turned into! I would play on my way to work, turning my 5 min drive to the office into a 45 min drive + breakfast. I also met some amazing people in my local area and across the world.
Rules of the road
- If you have met me, or read my blogs, you might know that I like to name things. This applies to Pokémon too.
- I am a bug girlie above all else!
- I am aware how easy it is to defeat most bug types.
- Don’t expect me to reference Pokémon by their correct names. There is a chance I at least make it to a name of one of the evolutions.
- There is a high probability I will actually come up with a shorthand name for them.
- I will ask repeatedly if they can be shiny. It’s better to just accept it.
- My choices on best and worst are correct and I will be taking no comments.
- I am like a newb picking football teams, be prepared for my reasoning to be flawed and not based in any actual reality.
The best of the best!

Pinchee is life. Okay it’s Pinsir but seriously it’s Pinchee! He is the best and his shiny is PURPLE!
Butterfree is a butterfly and purple and a bug. It’s no wonder she is my favorite!
Heracross! Male and Female versions. SOLD. Bug. SOLD. Shiny is bright pink. LOVE!
Zangoose is a KISS Pokémon. There is nothing after that.
The full rankings
I know you are probably curious who are my starters. So I’ve prepared a thoroughly researched analysis of each generation rating the S-Tier ‘mon down to the F-Tier ‘mon. Again it could be because they are cute, they dance, they are a bug. Or because they make an unfortunate sound, or are leaking bodily functions, or are annoying.
